Position Summary

The Assistant Chief of Security is responsible for all aspects of delivering security and customer services to clients within the geographic region (or group of accounts) for which is responsible.

Duties/Responsibilities

Successful deployment of all security services contracts within financial, operational, quality and customer specifications.

Lead, mentor, coach and supervise all personnel under their assignment.

Serve as primary or secondary liaison with all branch customers; ensure 100% customer satisfaction and retention.

Understand the expectations of existing clients and build a relationship of trust and responsiveness

Manage the functions of payroll, training, billing payables and equipment management, as required; constantly monitor functions for accuracy; provide financial reports etc.

Conduct routine inspections and audits of accounts and account management team.

Lead and manage new account start-ups/transitions.

Develop and update the post orders and operational guidelines for all accounts, to include contingency/emergency plans.

Conduct regular quality assurance audits and inspections of all accounts and develops quality standards and metrics that are used to evaluate performance.

Manage safety program and interact with all branch personnel to meet or exceed safety goals.

Coordinate with HR manager/Office Manager in ensuring proper employee selection, all posts are filled with high caliber staff and overtime is limited to planned levels.

Maintain, coordinate and supervise account scheduling function and directly supervise utility officer pool in conjunction with account managers; create an optimum schedule each week that maximizes security service coverage while minimizing direct labor costs.

Work within creating and managing to an annual budget.

Authorize and manage all expenses associated with account and regional operations.

Manage the regional fleet of vehicles, including motor vehicles, golf carts and other vehicles used in providing security services; reviews and audits the condition of vehicles, maintenance records and gas purchases.

Ensure high account morale and officer retention

Work with account managers to make sure each account has the proper resources, equipment and support to deliver legendary service

Assist with investigations, as requested.

Identifies and develops emerging associates for promotion.

Ensure that all account operations are in full compliance with company standards and all applicable laws and regulations

Serve as Acting Director of Operations, as situations dictate.

Position Qualifications

Experience

One year of experience in the security field; with a proven track record as a manager.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed posts, 21 years of age for armed posts.

2. Good working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment and enforcement procedures.

3. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, with staff, clients and the public, ability to understand and follow standard operating procedures, ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance, ability to write and investigate required reports; ability to make independent and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures; ability to maintain any valid licenses that may be required.

4. Must be able to cope with mental and emotional stress related to working conditions.

5. Must be able to use tools and equipment required.

6. Excellent moral character and clean background free from excessive misdemeanors, traffic offenses, or any felonies, as well as positive record with creditors and prior employers.

7. Must possess a valid driver's license.

9. Active D&G license in the state of Florida

10. 1-year minimum in security, law enforcement, corrections or military/private contracting.

11. Required Firearm, Baton, OC, Handcuffs and 3A Kevlar vest.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Work is performed inside and outside at various properties with exposure to inside and outside environmental conditions, inclement weather, unpredictable crisis situations and possible combative individuals. Rare but possible exposure to blood and/or bodily fluids may occur. This job may require standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time, stooping, bending, pulling, pushing, grasping, walking, running, carrying and climbing. Requires infrequent lifting or carrying of objects up to 50 lbs.
