BASIC JOB DUTIES AND DESCRIPTION:
Security officers usually perform the following tasks under the direct supervision of their Supervisor or Manager.
Access control functions to the facility and or buildings. Protects client property and personnel as per the site standard operating procedures. Conduct routine patrols of the site which they are assigned either by foot or patrol vehicle.
JOB DUTIES
Using the best customer service principles to control access to the facilities of a venue or site by using proper screening methods.
Respectfully ensure that only authorized personnel and items are permitted onto the site or venue.
Maintain a professional attitude and demeanor with great customer service with all guest, visitors and coworkers.
Conduct routine patrols of the property to identify security risks, safety hazards, potential trespassers and maintenance issues.
May be required to complete daily activity reports, Incident reports, and other mandated reports per the job assignment and post orders.
Officers may provide escort details and perimeter fence checks as requested among other duties assigned as per the Standard operating procedures
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
A valid High School Diploma or GED (preferred but not required)
State of Florida security D licensing.
Able to communicate clearly in English, written and verbally
Able to understand site specific policies and post orders and have the ability to implement rules as needed.
Able to effectively communicate and work well with others
Able to prepare and maintain accurate records and reports
Able to respond to emergency situations as per operating procedures
Able to hear & see in low light situations
Able to work outside in extreme weather conditions
Able to stand and work for 3 to 4 hours before a break; lift up to 20 pounds; walk/climb stairs; bend knees to squat.
Must have the ability to conduct extended foot patrols
Must be able to climb multiple flights of stairs
Able to wear black slacks; black belt and solid black shoes.
