Job Summary
Now hiring professional and dependable drivers to transport our customers to patient care facilities, doctor's appointments, dialysis, physical therapy, private residences and other medically related locations/appointments. Drivers are responsible for safely transporting customers to their destination on time, while adhering to federal, state and local traffic laws, as well as Unique NEMTS policies and procedures.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Drive vehicles in a safe manner at all times.
Personally facilitates the safe, efficient, and expedited movement of customers from area to area via stretchers, wheelchairs or by personal assistance.
Assist in the safe transfers of customers in all movement, such as, from bed to stretcher or wheelchair.
Arrive to all appointments and destinations on time.
Accurately record the transport and report all necessary information to dispatch.
Must be able to communicate safety instructions and directions effectively to adolescents, adult and geriatric patients.
Perform preventative maintenance on transportation van and report any defects, mechanical problems, or missing items to management. (pre trip and post trip)
Job Requirements and Qualifications
Have a valid state driver's license issued by the state of proposed employment
Must live within a 20-minute drive of our office location
Must be able to use a GPS/Technology System, read and understand road maps
Ability to lift and/or pull up to 250 pounds with partner
Must have the capability to assist passengers into and out of the vehicle if needed
Must be able to bend to inspect the undercarriage of a vehicle and tires
Must be able to manually open and close all doors, hatches and electronic/ hydrolic lifts on the vehicle
No moving violations or citations on driving record for the past 3 years
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening, a 3 year Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check, background check, and driving performance test
Drivers must meet these requirements and all other requirements as determined by Unique NEMTS, its customers and/or its insurance company at all times to remain employed as our driver. It is the responsibility of the employee to report any and all moving violations to his or her supervisor immediately.

Work Hours and Shifts
-Vary and depend on the business need.
-Drivers typically work Monday - Friday, and every other Saturday. Off every Sunday.
-Drivers will need to be able to drive during the day, at night and long distances at times.
-Must have your own reliable transportation to/from work and a working cellphone.
-Must provide MVR Motor Vehicle Report (if you need help let us know) for last 5-10 years.
