I own a small but growing PR and marketing agency. We serve two vastly different kinds of clients: shopping centers and high-tech firms. The majority of the work we need help with is on the retail side of the house, so if you don't know anything about high-tech, that's ok - but if you do, it's a major plus. We need part-time help writing press releases for our retail clients and perhaps a few blog and social posts on the technology side. The right candidate will be someone with previous PR experience who knows the elements of a press release, how to construct it properly, is great with grammar and spelling, and can turn things around quickly. The work is very fast-paced. We need someone who can work on a per-project basis to start, and we may want to increase that to a part-time position with regular hours as the workload grows. The ideal candidate will have daytime hours available and will be someone who can stay with us. (We are not looking for someone who is in between jobs or someone who can only work at night. A stay-at-home mom or dad with previous PR experience who needs something to do while the kids are at school would be ideal.) While we have clients nationwide, our office is located in Florida so we would prefer someone in our time zone or someone who can work on Eastern time. You can work from home, but must be responsive to emails and phone calls during agreed-upon working hours.
