Riviera Creamery seeks an outgoing, task oriented and energetic candidate for General Manager. The position does not require previous restaurant management experience, but prior restaurant experience is helpful. We have various foods production (chocolate dipping primarily), however our line of ice cream flavors are supplied by super premium maker, Bassetts of Philadelphia. Responsibilities include all aspects of staffing and training for quality task performance, product knowledge and presentation, and excellent and hospitable customer service. Produce and maintain a daily brief report summarizing sales; regular weekly written ice cream inventory; cash handling, banking deposits and change orders; and overall responsibility for the shipshape stocking, inventory and maintenance of a clean and presentable store. GM (and other trusted hourly employees) will regularly-once or twice weekly need to stop-n-shop for minor groceries or other supplies, using store petty cash. GM has the important task of ordering goods, maintaining records of major ordering items. Aside from our flagship ice creams, shakes, splits etc. we serve up coffees and espresso, other drinks, sno-balls, and fine chocolate and candies from a candy case. Looking for a candidate who can thrive long term, even given the highly seasonal aspect of PCB. Organization, common sense, integrity and energy to work "hands on" are my hiring benchmarks.
