TITLE

Field Service UST Compliance Technician

- Drive service truck to sites

- Learn to install equipment

- Learn to conduct tests on tanks and lines

- Analyze data

- Enter results into computer

- Transmit reports via computer

- Maintain inventory of parts

- Communicate well with customers, office personnel and supervisor

DUTIES

Testing tanks for leaks, perform installation and testing of automatic tank gauge systems, conduct lockout/tag out procedures and other on-site assessments, and record data into tablet computer.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Able to work with supervision during training and pass required certifications once field training is

complete.

- After training, work independently

- Able to pass background check and drug-testing

- Excellent driving record

- Understand the importance of a drug-free workplace

- Past experience working with hands, equipment and tools whether it be mechanical, plumbing,

construction or industrial work

- An interest and enjoyment in working with your hands

- Comfortable working on computers and some basic knowledge using a computer

- The ability to use the computer to complete state required paperwork, solve problems and save

paperwork.

- Able to lift up to or more than 60 pounds

QUALIFICATIONS CONTINUED

- Position requires lifting, walking, stooping, bending, kneeling, the ability listen and hear using equipment

designed to help locate potential leaks in tanks

- Willing to work outside throughout all seasons under safe yet, less than perfect temperatures.

- The ability to learn, understand and follow strict safety and technical protocols

- Position requires extensive travel within a multi-state area in company-furnished vehicle

- Ability to be away from home for a few weeks at a time, with company-paid travel expenses.

- Attracted to a challenge, have good problem solving skills

- Must possess excellent communication skills and professional appearance

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

- No direct-line supervisory duties

- Mentor technician trainees during training and as needed after certification

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

- Maintain appropriate Clemens Fuel Systems, Inc. and UST Equipment technician certifications

- Maintain required Worksafe certifications

- Maintain state certifications where required

Note: All required Federal and State certifications required to perform this job are paid for by the company once field training requirements are met.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

- Minimum Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D.

- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability

- Positive history and experience applying technical and safety protocols

- Ability to maintain accurate and complete records and documentation

- A basic knowledge working on computers, with digital cameras and video recorders

- Ability to show positive past work history and experience as outlined under Qualifications

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to apply formulas and perform basic calculations and unit conversions.

OTHER SKILLS

Must maintain utmost degree of integrity and professionalism

COMPENSATION

Compliance Technicians are paid an hourly training wage until training is complete. Training wage is determined by past work experience. Increase in hourly wage is based upon performance, the ability to learn this unique trade and pass all required Federal and State Certifications in order to perform the job independently. All certifications are paid for by the company.

The Company offers paid vacations and benefits. We also offer paid time off during most major Holidays.

After training and certifications are complete, all Technicians are supplied with a company cell phone and tablet once released to work independently out in the field.
