Gulf Coast Utility Contractors is looking for a Full Time Heavy Highway & Civil/Utility Construction Estimator/Project Manager to join our team in (Location), FL. Competitive Salary. Responsibilities:
⢠This position will prepare estimates by calculating complete take-off of scope of work; price work items and review terms and conditions of subcontractor and vendor quotes; serve as a liaison with subcontractors and vendors during the bidding process.
⢠Will maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures, including current (accurate) information on prices from suppliers
⢠Attend meetings with suppliers and subcontractors, and prepare presentations to clients (when required)
⢠Communicate and reinforce the company vision, values and goals
⢠Assist in Project Management
Job Requirements:
⢠Qualified candidate must have a minimum of 3 years civil construction estimating experience in the areas of utilities, earth work, concrete structures and general site.
⢠Blue print reading a must
⢠Organized, accurate and consistent
⢠Strong phone and communication skills; thorough and attentive to details; able to prioritize and multitask; proactive and deadline-oriented.
⢠Extensive knowledge of company procedures, estimating techniques, engineering disciplines and cost control systems
⢠Advanced math and computer skills
⢠Excellent written and oral communication skills
⢠Ability to estimate all types of civil projects/ contracts, including earthwork, utilities, paving and concrete structures
⢠Self-Motivated, safety conscious
⢠Software/Spreadsheet Proficient: Outlook, Excel, Word, Timberline/Sage estimating and Trimble Dirt Work software
