What you will do:Our team of 35 dedicated associates work on a 20-bed perinatal unit. As a high-risk OB nurse, you would have the opportunity to work directly with the OBGYN and Maternal Fetal Medicine physicians to safely care for moms who need specialized care.Patient Ratios: High-risk Ante 1:4High-risk drips 1:2Continuous Fetal Monitoring 1:3Sacred Heart is a Baby Friendly Hospital; as such, we pride ourselves on providing all our nurses with specialty training in fetal monitoring, Neonatal Resuscitation, and breastfeeding education.Schedule/Shift:
Three (12) hour shifts 7-7
Self-scheduling, 6-week schedule; holidays are divided amongst groups.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
What you will need: Required Credentials:
BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Education:
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
Work Experience:
None required.
1 Year of experience reading fetal monitoring preferred
Previous high-risk OB, Labor and Delivery, or other closely related specialty is strongly preferred
