Job Description
Tacky Jacks in Orange Beach is looking for professional Line Cooks and Prep Cooks who can help prepare meals as per our standard recipes. Each candidate will be required to be on time, carry a positive attitude, create the proper meal portions, cook meals to specification per order and keep a sanitized work area. We are seeking individuals who have experience in the food service industry and are committed to doing a great job because they care, which is important for impressing our guest and creating a repeat business.
Prep Cook/Line Cook responsibilities
- Be on time
- Memorize and utilize our serving portions sizes and all basic meal prep procedures used in the kitchen
- Ensure that the kitchen, cook line, all food prep areas and all food storage area meet restaurant cleaning standards
- Work well under pressure
- Prepare guest orders to specific specs., ensure food is cooked to the proper temperatures and are completed in a timely manor
- Work with a team of cooks to do portion prep work for other shifts needed
- Monitor product freshness and rotate out old product correctly
Prep Cook/Line Cook Skills
- Line Cook needs 2+ years experience
- Prep Cook, experience is preferred but not required
- Ability to work on your feet for eight hours or more a day
- Carry one's self with a high level of professionalism
- Able to work with a team in an extremely fast-paced environment
- Must be able to communicate well with others
- Obtain a high level of organizational skills
- Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds at a time on a regular basis
