Pipe Insulator Needed
Responsibilities of the Pipe Insulator:
Measure and cut insulation for covering surfaces, using tape measures, handsaws, knives, and scissors.
Fit insulation around obstructions, and shape insulating materials and protective coverings as required.
Determine the amounts and types of insulation needed, and methods of installation, based on factors such as location, surface shape, and equipment use.
Install sheet metal around insulated pipes with screws in order to protect the insulation from weather conditions or physical damage.
Apply, remove, and repair insulation, thermal and fire, on industrial and domestic equipment, pipes,ductwork, or other mechanical systems such as heat exchangers, tanks, pipe-work and vessels, to help control noise and maintain temperatures.
Read blueprints and specifications to determine job requirements.
Working with tools and machinery used in the trade.
Requirements of the Pipe Insulator:
Blanket insulating experience
Thermon and foil experience
Stick insulating - piping
Working with and around steam heat trace
Not afraid of heights
Working alone and unsupervised/self-motivated
This is a full time temp to perm position to the right candidates! Pay is $20-$21 per hour based on hands on experience
Daily Per Diem paid $60-$70 per day depending on location of the job site.
Must have 1 professional references showing pipe insulating experience not I worked with my Uncle Eddie!
