Qualifications: Must hold a valid License to Practice Counseling in the State of Florida. Clinician must possess at least three-five (3-5) years of experience working with youth and families with mental health and/or substance abuse problems/diagnoses. Further, the Clinician must have training in the treatment of mental health diagnose, and substance use disorders including signs and symptoms associated with: abuse and dependence; human growth and development; evaluations and assessments; treatment planning and implementation; addictions counseling and recovery principles/processes; cognitive- behavioral interventions; case management and clinical record documentation; abuse regulations, patient rights. and HIPPA requirements; and special circumstances, such as emergencies, suicide, and out-of-control behavior. Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance; successful motor vehicle background check; able to pass level 2 background screenings through local law enforcement, Florida Dept. of Law Enforcement, and FBI. Higher rate of compensation for clinicians with existing Medicaid and NPI numbers. In-home counseling services.
Education: A Master's level graduate from an accredited university or college with a major in the field of counseling, social work, psychology, criminal justice, psychiatric nursing, rehabilitation, special education, health education, or a related human services field with one of the following: At least (3-5) years of professional experience in providing services to youth and families suffering from mental, emotional, behavioral, substance abuse, and family health problems.
