Machine Maintenance Technician

Summary:

Helps perform maintenance and repairs of equipment, machinery, structures, utilities and grounds by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Receives work orders or verbal instructions from supervisor.

Maintains (in good and safe working order) and repairs any equipment used in production and the facilitys operations as per work orders and instructions.

Maintains (in good and safe working order) and repairs any supporting equipment used in production and the facilitys operations as per work orders and instructions.

Performs Maintenance, repairs and replaces any non-equipment items or systems required for proper operation of facilities and grounds.

Maintains records of maintenance and repairs to equipment and structures that were performed.

Maintains and updates the list of commonly used replacement parts and consumables used during maintenance and repairs.

Assists other departments with items and projects as required

Performs routine maintenance tasks as requested by supervisor.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of Google Docs, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Current Drivers License. Additionally, this position requires the ability to meet MVR requirements per our insurance carrier standards.
