Structural Component (Trusses/Floors/Walls) Designer
Panel-Tek of North Florida - St. Augustine, FL
The Designer is responsible for the accurate design of roof and floor trusses, walls and components for single family, multi-family and light commercial projects.
Requirements:
Design metal plate connected wood trusses and Wall Panels utilizing MiTek Sapphire software.
Review orders, layouts and data files for accuracy
Assist sales and production with design service and troubleshooting
Knowledge:
Minimum high school graduate.
Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in related field/responsibilities.
Working knowledge and experience using MiTek Sapphire software is preferred.
Working knowledge of floor and roof systems and the ability to specify beams and hangers.
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to read and understand blue prints
Strong math skills
Proficiency in the use of MiTek and other business and design related software.
Ability to multitask.
Ability to pass a drug test
Compensation:
Pay range for the position will be based on experience/skill level
