Looking for caring and patient candidates to interview as our family is looking for a new person willing to take out our deaf mother who uses a walker with assistance and resides on her own in the Shores area. Outings will include dr. visits, various shopping and restaurant visits, activities she is interested in, etc.-nearly all located in St. Augustine. Days can vary from around 10:30-1:30. If possible these times are flexible due to dr. appts, etc. Pay is $15/ hour + gas compensation. We need somebody that is dependable, flexible, extremely patient, has a sense of humor and is very understanding of adults with disabilities. She can get in and out of a car (though slowly) and around places with assistance and the helper's vehicle must be able to accommodate a medium-sized walker in the trunk/hatchback. If you are interested, please email resume, specific references with their contact information, your contact information, description about your current jobs/responsibilities, background check info, etc. We also need a person who can use email as the main communication about days/times, etc. that are needed as that is how my mom communicates best. If applicant does not know sign language-then using a pad and paper to write back and forth is also doable, but knowledge of sign language is preferred. 1 weekend day may be needed if possible now and again when local residing family members are out of town. Please inquire further if you have questions. Thank you.
