SUPERVISOR OF A CONSERVATION CORPS CREW
Full time, permanent position

Location: St. Augustine to Palatka, Florida to cover St Johns County, parts of Putnam county
A nonprofit 501 C 3 organization, Community Training Works, Inc. (CTW) is seeking a mature individual to supervisor a crew of 2-4 young adult crew members and perform highway maintenance for our contracts with FL Dept of Transportation (FDOT).
Job description:
Improve the community in which you live by working on public roads, lands, and waterways (highways, municipal and rural roads and rights-of-way). Supervise, work alongside and provide on the job training to young adults (18-25 and veterans up to 35).
Duties include mowing, edging, sweeping, litter removal, brush removal, tree removal, sign washing, occasional fencing and guardrail repair, palm tree trimming.
Qualifications:
Experience in roadside maintenance, landscaping, zero turn mowers, saws, Stihl equipment and prior supervisory experience required. Conservation Corps crew leader experience a plus. Applicant must be able to train and mentor a crew of 2 to 4 young adults and veterans, work outside in unpredictable Florida weather including but not limited to heat & cool temps. Good communication skills and reporting via phone and paperwork to the main office and Field Manager daily, preparation of Daily Reports, Expense Reports, Vehicle Reports required.

Hiring Requirements:
Drivers license, Be commercially insurable on auto insurance, AMOT certification ability to pass an Advanced Maintenance of Traffic certification within first 30 days.
