Description: The Vascular Access Team (VAT) RN has accountability and responsibility for providing intravenous (IV) nursing care to patients at Martin Medical Center, Martin Hospital South and Tradition Medical Center. As a member of the Nursing Department Team, the VAT Nurse collaborates with other Nursing Team members to execute the corporate goals and objectives of Martin Health System. Ensures ongoing professional growth and development.To effectively fulfill this position, candidate must meet the following requirements:Graduated from an accredited nursing program; Bachelor's Degree with a Major in Nursing, preferred.Current/Active State of FL RN License required - Primary source online verification required directly from State of Florida Licensing database.Current acceptable CPR certification required: American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Health Care Provider OR American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer; ACLS, PALS, NRP certification as applicable.Minimum of one year of acute care experience is preferred.A clinical certification is preferred in IV Therapy.Must become PICC certified within 3 months of hire.The policy of Cleveland Clinic and its system hospitals (Cleveland Clinic) is to provide equal opportunity to all of our employees and applicants for employment in our tobacco free and drug free environment.
