RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Technical Product Support/GIS in Tallahassee, FL. This scope is intended to provide GIS support in the production of geospatial products for the GIS Program and its customers
Responsibilities:
Provide in-house GIS support in the production of the County General Highway Map series
Provide in-house GIS support in the production of other geospatial products such as custom maps, web maps, creating and maintaining geographic data
Perform quality assurance and quality control workflows in support of the GIS Program products and services
Assist with defining customers data needs, project requirements, and required deliverables
Provide GIS technical support to customers of the GIS Program in coordination with GIS Program Supervisor or Project Manager
Edit multiuser geodatabases used in the production of the County General Highway Maps (CMG and NavtegNew geodatabases)
QA/QC of the data in the CMG & NavteciNew geodatabases
Generate new or revised version of County General Highway Maps
Provide technical support for cartographic design, high quality map production and all GIS related workflows for the GIS Program
Provide GIS customer service, assisting with defining customers data needs, project requirements, and required deliverables, as well as with presenting information to customers and answering questions
Provide GIS technical support to FDOT staff, especially with the use of ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online
Perform other technical assignments needed to support the GIS Program; These assignments include but are not limited to: copyright registration, data distribution, map scanning and archiving, field inventory, and writing technical reports or workflow documentation
REQUIREMENTS:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree or technical institute degree/certificate in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field; Or equivalent work experience
Experience with ArcGIS for Desktop and Extensions
Experience with ArcGIS Online
Experience with ArcGIS Pro
Experience with map production
Experience with writing technical documentation
Experience with customer service
