Spartan Stoneworks is hiring an administrative assistant to help with office duties and sales. We are a stone countertop company, family owned and operated, in the Lake Jackson area. We are looking for someone capable of assisting with stone selection and creating estimates for clients, scheduling, and client communications. Must have a pleasant phone voice, a good supply of patience, and be willing to go the extra mile.
We expect employees to be honest and hardworking, of course, but the most important element we look for is the ability to be genuine. We don't push sales on clients - we let them know what their options are and help them to find the right stone for their needs. Honesty and transparency are everything, and we aren't interested in hiring someone who is clearly trying to "sell" a product. Just be clear, honest and helpful, even if it means directing someone to another shop!
Dress is casual but professional - we'll provide Spartan shirts once the trial period ends and you like us and we like you! We start at $12 per hour, payday is every Friday.
Right now we are looking for help Monday through Saturday from 9:00 to 6:00. Experience with quickbooks would be a tremendous help, but that's not a deal-breaker. We prefer hiring people with life experience and avoid hiring college students because of difficulties with scheduling. As a rule, clients have to feel like they are welcome, wanted and important, and they also need to know that they are dealing with someone who cares about what they want and has the knowledge to point them in the right direction consistently.
