RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an Enterprise Data Architect in Tampa, FL.
Summary:
The Data Architect Senior provides technical leadership and strategic direction for the technologies, standards, processes, and architectures for data/information across the enterprise. They are responsible for the overall design of the enterprise-wide data/information architecture, which maps to the enterprise architecture and balances the need for access against security and performance requirements. They strengthen the impact of, and provide recommendations on, business information that will need to be available and shared consistently across the organization through the identification, definition, and analysis of how information assets aid strategies and business outcomes. The Enterprise Data Architect will be responsible for discovering the data and analytics requirements for information for all uses. Under general direction, the candidate develop and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the databases, data assets and information, mentor and develop Database Administrator and Data Management resources, in database platform standards, best practices, patterns and strategies, and participate in long-term planning to match the long-term strategic goals.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, preferred
A minimum of five years of experience in IT with hands-on experience in conceptual, logical, and physical database management systems modeling, with at least two years of information system design
Three to five years as a data analyst is highly desirable
Expert knowledge/understanding of: Oracle, SQL server, Azure data services, Hadoop, Teradata, Snowflake, Synapse, SQL programming languages and concepts, NoSQL programming languages and concepts, Database Architecture, highly available systems and Design principles, UNIX scripts (Bash, etc.), Windows, systems development methodologies and business processes
Experience in data warehousing, data modeling, data lakes, ETL/ELT, BI tools, and data analysis
