RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in search of a Java & Cobol Automation QA Engineer in Tampa, FL.
Duties:
Working in conjunction with the Business Analysis and Development teams to ensure that applications meet requirements and are of high quality
Reviewing Business Requirements, Functional Specifications, and Test Cases to understand the functional and technical requirements in order to test the application and verify those requirements are successfully met
Executing test scripts and documents defects for test scripts where the actual results do not successfully meet expected results
Designing test procedures, maintenance procedures and configurations
Creating detailed test cases and scripts, works with Business Analyst to determine requirements are captured correctly
Working with the development team to analyze and resolve defects
Interaction with our internal customers
REQUIREMENTS:
Detailed understanding of application architecture in order to identify quality issues related to design or distribution of application components
Expert in automation and how to use it effectively and efficiently
Ability to negotiate, communicate and deliver effective automated test solutions to both development and QA organizations
Has deep knowledge of multiple complex applications and provides subject matter expertise to set direction and create test strategies and test plans for one or more releases of an application
Able to read &/or write basic code (Java and/or Cobol) to support Open Source Automation tools and provide testing support to applications written in Cobol and Java
Able to write custom testing queries for automation testing
JIRA is a plus
