Sales Assistant
Part-time position
We are looking for an enthusiastic Sales Assistant to generate sales leads primarily by cold calling a predetermined call list in our Tampa office. You will be responsible for influencing potential customers to set an appointment for outside sales consultant.
A successful Sales Assistant must be friendly and persuasive with excellent verbal skills. You must be able to understand the customers requirements in a short time and suggest solutions that meet their needs. The ideal candidate will be patient and even-tempered when dealing with aggressiveness and complaints.
This position is part-time 10-12 hrs. per week with a starting pay of $13.00 per hour. Our business hours are Monday through Friday 8 am 6 pm.
Responsibilities
Cold call people using a given phone directory to book appointments
Answer incoming calls from prospective customers
Use scripts to provide information about products features, prices etc. and present their benefits
Ask pertinent questions to understand the customers requirements
Persuade the customer to book appointment by demonstrating how merchandise or services meet their needs
Accurately record the customers personal information
Deal with complaints or doubts to safeguard the companys reputation
Go the extra mile to set appointments
Keep records of calls and sales and record useful information
Requirements
Proven experience in inside sales or similar sales/customer service role
Proven track record of successfully meeting quotas, preferably over the phone
Computer literate
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Proficient in English
Skilled in negotiation and dealing with complaints
Persistent and results-oriented
Patient and able to handle customer rejection
Valid driver's license with good driving record
