Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Cloud/AWS Architect for a contract assignment with one of our premier financial services clients in Tampa, FL.
Responsibilities :
The Technical Architect is a key member of company's cloud transformation team providing technical leadership and guidance to multiple projects.
This is a highly technical position for someone who can dive deep into complex application architecture, build cloud-optimized design, develop migration strategies, recommend Cloud Native Service solutions, author reference architecture artifacts and influence technology roadmaps by working closely with company Engineers and partner Architects.
Required Skills:
6+ years of progressive Cloud Application Architect role
2+ years of experience with Cloud Computing platforms (AWS or GCP)
Experience with cloud-native architecture and security patterns
Experience with security solutions authentication, entitlements, encryption, MFA, Federation
Experience with containers (Openshift Platform/Docker/Kubernetes)
Experience with client/server enterprise java j2EE web application and microservice application design
Experience in systems scalability and performance optimization
Experience with Cloud transformation and application modernization
Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and a decision maker
Great communication and teamwork skills; must be able to work effectively with others within and across departments
Certified AWS or Google Solution Architect
Ability to develop prototypes for proving out new technology solutions
Knowledge of continuous development and integration tools
Knowledge of Big data stack is a plus such as Elasticsearch, Hadoop, HDFS, Kafka
BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
