What you’ll be doing Verizon is investing in its network to improve the way we live, work, and communicate. Our network transformation will be critical for all our future connectivity businesses including new products such as IoT, 5G, and future smart cities. As part of this network transformation, you will help build one network engineered for growth for all lines of business.Verizon seeks an experienced Contract Administrator to manage OSP Engineering and Construction contracts. This position will be responsible for developing proposal documents, negotiating terms and conditions, resolving contract disputes, and administering contract compliance.Responsibilities:
Develop contract proposals to support organizational goals.
Review contract estimates, including proposed materials, production costs, and determine whether they seem reasonable and accurate.
Ensure that all records are accurate and up to date.
Negotiate and approve contract terms while ensuring that projects remain within the established budget.
Attend meetings to assess progress on projects which are in motion, and take detailed notes to share with stakeholders.
Create relevant reporting and establish cadence for communication to leadership.
What we’re looking for You’ll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
Four or more years of relevant work experience.
Willingness to travel.
Valid driver's license.
Even better if you have:
A Degree.
Strong analytical skills.
Strong negotiation and mediation skills.
Extensive experience in Outside Plant / Inside Plant engineering, construction, and project management.
Knowledge of contract law, accounting principles and finance.
Ability to be self-motivated and a self-starter, with ability to work independently.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience influencing others.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Lean Six Sigma Experience.
