Skills and Education Requirements:Associate Degree or higher;Must have active and current Director Credentials in SR and VPK ;Must have active and current CPR/First Aid Certification;Must have active and current Director Certificate ;Proven leadership qualities, ability to coordinate, inspire and motivate staff;Effective written and verbal communication skills;Demonstrated initiative and ability to solve problems and be proactive and self motivated;Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision;Must be detailed oriented;Clear background check and fitness to work with children;Successful experience as a teacher and administrator in educational environment;Must be proficient with Microsoft Software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc);Ability to maintain confidentially.Specific duties and responsibilities of the Childcare Center Director includes:Be proficient in Early Learning Coalition, VPK Assessments and Evaluation System Uploads. Build and maintain a healthy, professional and supportive work culture.Provide enrollment packets, tours and answer questions for all potential clients.Annually plan (with staff) an Open House for current and potential clients.Develop, implement, and maintain an efficient and effective work schedule for staff. Attend and maintain maximum enrollment or consistently demonstrate keen attention and effort (with a plan) to do so.Outline expectations for and monitor communication with parents.Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum.Collect, verify and forward weekly tuition's to Budget Office with documentation.Provide tuition receipts to clients in a timely manner.Develop and maintain daily operations, in-service preparation, school-parent relations, planning and implementing of the programs.Maintain accurate and current staff and student files.Attend and conduct staff meetings.Attend corporate staff meetings.Organize and attend bi-annual parent teacher meetings.Orientate new hires with facility, procedures, expectations and culture of organization.Use comprehensive checklist and have employee sign.Evaluate staff annually.Review quarterly progress reports to parent prior to being disseminated.Develop and provide in service training development for staff.Develop annual budget . Oversee, monitor and approve the purchase of budgeted classroom supplies and requirement duties as assigned. Bilingual a plus.
