We are seeking an Estimating Assistant that is an energetic, outgoing, confident, detail-oriented and well organized team player. Will be working directly with the Estimating Department assisting with bids and making sure current Commercial project information is up to date. Must be a self-starter that can handle a fast-paced job and be able to prioritize, multi-task and understand deadlines. Must have good phone and excellent people skills. An understanding of construction terminology and Commercial construction experience.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of one year on-the-job experience in a responsible Estimating Assistant position with a Construction, subcontractor,
and/or general contracting company.
- Computer literacy, to include intermediate to advanced aptitude in Excel and Word.
- Accuracy, attention to detail, well organized, tidiness, and the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to maintain high job standards and detail orientation in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be a self-starter with ability to work effectively with minimal supervision as well as in a team.
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with co-workers and subcontractors.
- Must be able to develop and maintain good relationships with project management team, peers, subcontractors and general
contracting companies.
- Honesty, integrity, loyalty, and the ability and willingness to make the Company's best interest the number one priority.
