Entry Level Network Operations Center Operator position in
Port Saint Lucie with focus on satellite distribution of TV channels to DTH platforms, cable networks and OTT services
Ideal candidate has the following qualifications:
Preferred recent graduates from Technical High School local college with AA in any technical area : computers, network, TV broadcasting
Basic Knowledge of Computers ( Word, Excel, email, networking)
Knowledge of Telecommunications desirable but not mandatory.
Fluent English (speaking and writing ) Spanish highly desirable but not mandatory
Ability to answer and make phone calls interacting with customers (TV & cable Networks ) and service providers ( fiber optic , electricity, satellite )
Willing to develop intimate knowledge of systems in order to develop the ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor issues independently
Ability to memorize facility emergency procedures, and perform the procedures independently
Candidate should be able to lift 60 lbs and climb ladders to roof of building.
This position may require that you enter tight spaces.
Willing to work on Graveyard shifts and weekends.
Willing to be trained and start at operational level with potential to growth to supervisory and / or to systems development /integration areas .
Shift Operator is responsible for Tier 1 operations monitoring and technical support and escalation covering the following systems:
Broadcast Media Management including:
TV Master Control and Play Out Servers
Satellite Downlink of TV channels
Video Ingest and Capture Servers
IP Networking - Routers, Servers
Video Encoders and Multiplexers
Satellite Uplink system, including
Satellite Modulators
Satellite Transmission Equipment ( amplifiers, antennas )
NOC with Monitoring Multiviewers, Spectrum Analyzers , Monitoring software
IP Transmission
Satellite Transmission systems Monitoring and troubleshooting ( encoders, modulators, multiplexers, amplifiers, antennas ,receivers, LNBs , etc)
OTT / IPTV / Streaming operations ,
Handling live events reception and transmissions via IP and via satellite
Building Infra-Structure - Electrical, UPS, Generator, Air Conditioning, Fiber Optics
