Vero Beach property management company is looking for an experienced painter/carpenter/handyman to join our repairs/renovation division. We specialize in minor renovation projects and routine maintenance on high-end homes. We are not looking for a framing carpenter, but more of a "jack of all trades" type person. The ideal candidate will have their own truck and tools. This is a full-time position M-F, 7:30 - 4:00. We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package. Must be able to pass a drug test and a background check.
Skill Requirements:
Must have experience in finish and rough carpentry
Knowledge of power tools, including skill saw, miter saw, jigsaw, etc.
Possession of basic hand tools and reliable transportation to job sites
Willingness to work overtime when necessary to deliver the project on time
Knowledge of lumber grades and countertop materials
Experience with general residential maintenance
Ability for high attention to detail
Ability to read, write, and speak the English language and be able to communicate effectively with homeowners, co-workers and office staff
This position requires moderate to heavy exertion on a regular basis and will require candidates to be able to stand, reach, walk, climb stairs/ladders, kneel, crouch, and crawl
Ability to lift between 50 and 100 lbs.
Must work well with other team members
