Full Time Position:Â
Required schedule is Sunday through Thursday.
Position requires assistance with wheelchair cleaning service 2 nights per month (6:00pm - 12:30am.)
Job Summary:
Van drivers provide safe, reliable and timely wheelchair and non-medical stretcher transportation for clients to and from home, extended care facilities, hospitals, dialysis centers, physician's offices and social appointments; using skilled and compassionate driving to avoid sudden motions detrimental to the client. Flexibility is key as work often comes in at the last minute and therefore being based in Stuart / local surrounding areas close by would be beneficial also.
Job Expectations:
Provide exceptional customer service through the safe and efficient care, communication and transportation of ambulatory, non-ambulatory/disabled, wheelchair or stretcher bound clients.
Be an ambassador for TransMobility; create and maintain lasting relationships with all referring facilities and with each individual client.
Work closely with TransMobility Dispatch Coordinator, ensuring maximum communication to maintain high levels of customer service.
Drive with courtesy and respect to ensure that TransMobility maintain their outstanding reputation in the communities they serve.
Maintain vehicles in a safe and efficient operating condition, ensuring cleanliness of equipment.
Work 2 evenings each month assisting with wheelchair cleaning at local facilities.
Essential Job Requirements:
Must have a clean driving record.
Must have 5+ years of driving experience.
Drivers must be able to push wheelchair or stretcher bound clients (averaging 150 lbs.) into vehicles via rear entry ramps, and lower them back down. This must be done in a controlled and safe manner. Applicants must be physically fit.
Smartphone for communicating with dispatch/back office.
Willingness to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
Willingness to undergo a criminal history check.
Applicants must be a minimum of 23 years of age.
HS Diploma or GED Diploma
Desirable:
Those with relevant experience and/or training or licensing as a CNA/HHA, EMT, healthcare tech or similar will be given preference.
