Job Description:Telum is recruiting exceptionally qualified individuals to serve as a Surveillance and Reconnaissance Instructor Subject Matter Expert to support the Advanced Skills Training course. The Surveillance and Reconnaissance Instructor will provide 5-level upgrade training to 3-level Combat Controller (CCT), Special Reconnaissance (SR), Tactical Air Control Party (TACP), and Pararescue (P J) personnel and will also provide expertise and skill sets, as required to the PJ 7-level upgrade training. Additionally, the instructor administers mission qualification training to all 5-level Special tactics operators.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Candidates should be well qualified in each of the following areas:
Providing instruction for Radio Communications, Small Unit Tactics, Surveillance and Reconnaissance, Close Quarters Battle (CQB), Land Navigation, Tactical Vehicle Training, Convoy Operations Training, and Full Mission Profile Events
Handling munitions and small arms when instructing students
Demonstrating weapons fire on light and heavy weapons systems, and shall ensure safe training operations
Performing rope-master duties during mock tower and actual aircraft training for safe student training including exiting aircraft or tower via fast-rope or rappel only in case of an emergency and rappelling down high-angles in conjunction with practical high-angle training in a non-standard instruction setting
Inspecting and ensuring timely correction of discrepancies surrounding all rescue equipment and SR associated gear; must be familiar with all gear used and actively look to solve potential issues
Performing small boat duties and open-water swimming in support of amphibious operations
Education
Military Instructor certification and experience preferred
Additional Information
Travel may be required, but will not exceed 5-10%
