H&J Contracting a Site Development Company located in Wellington, is currently looking for a full time Parts Supervisor/Manager. The Parts Supervisor/Manager is responsible for overseeing operations of the parts department, dispatch and supervises parts department employees. The Parts Supervisor/Manager is responsible for inventory control, employee supervision, and department profitability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintains proper inventory level.
Supervises parts department staff.
Oversees pricing of parts.
Works with upper management to make parts department hiring and discipline decisions.
Works with direct supervisor to ensure department profitability.
Oversees recordkeeping and paperwork.
Reinforces company policies and adheres to company standards.
Encourages compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Maintains good working relationship with vendors.
Performs or oversees annual physical inventory.
Maintains effective employee relations.
Maintains neat and organized department.
Promotes and maintains great employee morale.
Oversee parts returns to factory and vendors
Work to minimize obsolete parts
Must have good communication skills. Must have the use of sensory skills to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public using the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear, handle, or feel objects and controls. Individual must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, be able to safely perform job duties in all types of adverse conditions. Significant standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, reaching, handling, pushing, pulling, stooping, bending, kneeling, turning, twisting, squatting, and climbing. Work outdoors in different climates.
At least 2 years of Supervisor/Management experience preferred.
Proven track record
Submit to and successfully complete MVR, background check, and pre-employment drug test
Valid driver's license with clean driving record
Work week is Monday – Saturday. Overtime is required and weekend work as necessary.
