Job Description:
Color Factory Inc is seeking a professional Painting Supervisor for full-time employment whose territory would include the Ft Lauderdale/Miami area. The candidate must have painting experience with verifiable references for a minimum of 5 years. The full time Supervisor will be expected to work well with a team and always represent our organization in a professional manner by upholding the highest standards of conduct, cleanliness & quality that our repeat clients have come to expect.
Definition: Under direction, plans and directs the work of a crew of painters assigned to various projects and work locations; supervises and evaluates the work of painters; prepares job estimates and daily work assignments; estimates expenditures for materials and supplies; performs inspections of painters’ work; writes required reports; and performs related duties as required.
Requirements: Meets with manager to plan and prioritize work according to established production targets. Directs daily work assignments of a paint crew. Prepares formal and informal job estimates for current and future projects. Prepares and maintains records of time worked and materials expended on projects. Orders materials and supplies. Enforces existing methods and procedures relative to paint, maintenance and repair activities. Inspects work of painters in the field or shop. Assists in the development and motivation of staff through training. Monitors and instructs staff regarding safety regulations and procedures. Meets with representatives of other City departments, outside organizations and the general public in connection with work. Uses a Tablet to write correspondence and keep records. Drives a vehicle to job sites, paint shops, and meetings at various locations. Performs related duties as required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities. Read plans, work order and submittals. Fluent English speaker and write. Be responsive and respectful. Possess a valid driver's license.
Knowledge of: Painting principles, practices and techniques. Safety codes and ordinances. Departmental rules and policies.
Skills to use: Tools and materials of the trade.
Ability to: Prepare estimates of materials and labor needed from site estimations . Plan, organize, assign, and inspect the work of paint crews. Motivate and train staff. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Promote and maintain good working relationships. Use a computer. Operate a motor vehicle. Possess the physical agility necessary to perform site inspections.
Safe Conscious: Work safe and supervise safety at job sites - Osha 10 and Osha 30 preferred.
