JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance and repairs of the Companys manufacturing machines, tools, equipment, and utility systems. Responsible for maintaining all pillow manufacturing equipment. Must be capable of troubleshooting Machine control panels including PLCs, and relay logic.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintenance
Designs, implements and modifies preventive maintenance programs by reviewing production and maintenance reports. Maintains Production areas ensuring that all work areas are free from debris and hazards, maintaining a safe and clean working environment. Performs repairs to the Companys equipment. Ability to trouble shoot, identify and safely repairmechanical and electrical issues to assure efficient machine operation. Maintenance and upgrade of facility including electrical, lighting, plumbing, air compressors, and some HVAC equipment. Mill and lathe skills are an advantage to be able to fabricate/manufacture new and repair items.
Safety
Complies with Companywide safety policies, to prevent employee accidents and injuries. Investigates all employee accidents and prepares reports for the Plant Operations Manager.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 3-5 years relevant maintenance experience
Basic Math Skills
Experience with mechanical maintenance repair
Experience with electrical maintenance repair
Experience with hand tools
Problem solving skills a must
Experience with fast paced production environment
Proficiency with written and verbal skills
Must be PC literate
Preferred Qualifications
Sortation Conveyor Experience
Ability to read PLC Program Logic
Electro-mechanical system maintenance
Root cause analysis/troubleshooting
Preventative maintenance
Maintain spare parts stores
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to frequently lift objects weighing up to and including 50 pounds
Ability to frequently carry objects weighing up to and including 25 pounds
Ability to push and/or pull objects weighing up to and including 50 pounds
Ability to withstand exposure to extreme climate variations; exposure to heat and cold
Ability to crawl, bend, kneel, climb and/or squat.
Ability to frequently stand/walk
