The Sr.Business Analyst's responsibilities for working with stakeholder to elicit, analyze, specify and validate business requirements to meet business needs. This includes, but is not limited to, developing business requirements and assisting business teams with documenting and submitting requests for system development, maintenance, and enhancements. Coordinating the review and testing of system changes


Essential Functions:

  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, simplify requirements, decompose high-level information into details
  • Collaborate with business users, developers and subject matter experts to analyze trade-offs between usability and performance needs
  • Use industry standard requirements gathering techniques
  • Capture information necessary to evaluate impact of requested changes
  • Evaluate and scope requirement change requests
  • Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions
  • Handle multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Act as a liaison between the clients, technology teams, QA teams and support team

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science or a similar degree preferred;
  • Experience in a business analysis or related capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution preferred
  • Certification of Competency in Business Analysis™ (CCBA®) or Certified Business Analysis Professional™ (CBAP®) a MUST
  • Intermediate level with various software programs including: Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook).
  • Experience working on multiple projects concurrently;
  • Proficient with technology, including: o Defining rules and workflows for BPMS o Working with multi-tiered systems, including CMS o Working with database concepts o Portal Design o UI/UX .
  • Minimum of 5 years' relevant work experience within healthcare or the insurance field.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the government-sponsored health plans and public sector managed care industry, more specifically Medicare Advantage plans and Medicaid Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) and their requirements highly desired.
