Project Description -This position is for an experienced Business Analyst for the Wealth Management Platforms team which is responsible for supporting all stages of institutional clients onboarding, billing, and servicing. The candidate would play a Business Analyst role on the team with the following responsibilities:
Document business and functional requirements, business rules, and User Stories and Epics.
Understand and document data requirements for the application and further downstream impact.
Create documentation that outlines data lineage and a framework for data governance.
Become a subject matter expert in the institutional client area. Assist data consumers and development teams by undertaking data research/analysis tasks and answering questions about the data.
Work with the developers to define/document existing application infrastructure and architecture.
Assist with QA/UAT testing to review/refine test plans and create detailed test cases.
Support in responding to Audit queries related to Business process and IT implementation.
Work with the project team and business to identify and resolve issues that arise during projects or as part of day-to-day business operations.
Build, develop, and grow relationships with IT and business areas vital to the success of the project.
Lead all aspects of Business Requirements from elicitation to business process flow mapping to proposing new functionalities to users for optimizing their processes.
Conduct gap analysis, scope estimation and impact analysis working with cross-functional teams.
Partner with a Product Owner to create, maintain, and groom the Product Backlog, writing User Stories defining acceptance criteria, thereby enabling new functionalities.
Drive Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions with the Business Stakeholders, system architects and technical analysts.
Facilitate a solution by preparing and evaluating alternative workflows.
Identify vertical and horizontal integration touch points. Call out dependencies and risks to ensure smooth development.
Primary Skills / Must have
Business Analyst skills – Ability to lead a conversation with the business, and to help PO with defining epics and writing user stories.
Good communication, teamwork, and influencing skills; ability to communicate effectively with technology and key business representatives.
Good writing skills, ability to capture requirements in a document in a concise and clear way.
Good presentation skills, ability to clearly explain a topic to a large audience of IT and/or business team members.
Process analysis – being able to research and document end to end flows on complex processes and systems.
Competent and experienced in technology environments (e.g., platforms, applications, databases, organizational structure and culture, etc.)
Deep understanding of Agile methodology and its application to SDLC.
Able to multitask across several projects.
Proficient with Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, UI mockup tools.
