The Software Development Quality Assurance engineer serves in the Product Development department and plays a key role in testing industry leading software for our customers. In this role you will be responsible for quality throughout all phases of the development and deployment cycle as you work in a team environment. As part of a diverse Agile team, you will help the organization ensure quality from the creation and maintenance of the Product Backlog through the execution and delivery of Releases. Diligence, attention to detail and close collaboration through excellent communication will be your biggest assets. You will also help to establish best practices, provide input to quality standards, look for continuous improvement initiatives and help the team grow as they pursue initiation of an Automation Strategy. Your technical skills and an ability to excel as part of a team will guide you to success here. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects, where you can apply your existing knowledge to solve new market problems on almost a daily basis. This is a full-time position in a highly collaborative environment working with other skilled software professionals to deliver high quality software to help clients improve the way they do business.
Analyzes business procedures, business use cases, and business/technical requirements to write test cases and perform very detailed testing functions. These testing functions will cover many areas of testing cycles including functionality, regression, end-to-end, deployment, and implementations.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
o Analyzing and interpreting complex business requirements.
o Producing detailed test scenarios and test scripts to ensure that only are the business requirements fulfilled, but that all quality considerations are met.
o Ensuring feature compatibility with existing product functionality and interfaces through integration analysis and testing.
o Executing on own and others test plans as part of relatively short delivery cycles.
o Working with 3rd-party vendors as we continuously integrate to external systems and interfaces.
o Assist in the creation of focused regression test efforts in order to minimize the potential for indirect defect injection.
o Participate in the refinement of business requirements and design through collaborative teams to ensure a common understanding of the proposed business value while ensuring quality standards are adhered to
o Produce or assist in producing any required product documentation from defect resolution to feature enhancements
o Working as part of an agile development team to produce high quality working software in 2-week sprints
o Potentially assist in the gathering of data and metrics used for Organizational reporting and System Audits.

Required Qualifications, Education, and Experience:
o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field OR equivalent combination of comparable work experience and education
o 2+ years of prior work experience in software quality assurance
o Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
o Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
o Testing end-user facing web and mobile applications
o Working with Agile and Test management applications such as JIRA, Quality Center, etc.
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills
o Strong team player yet able to work with minimum supervision
Additional Preferred Skills/Knowledge:
o Experience working in Banking, Payments or other financial industry environments
o Testing backend interfaces through tools like SoapUI and PostMan
o Contributing to an established Test Automation framework (Special consideration given to experience in establishing an Automation Strategy
