Overview
Our Wealth Management UX team builds digital experiences that help our clients manage their finances and monitor their investments easily. We design for two key user bases: our clients, and Financial Advisors, whose job it is to guide clients through financial milestones big and small. Our growing team of designers and researchers bring an entrepreneurial spirit to a leading global financial firm. We employ design thinking methods and a user-centered approach to solve real business problems. As a Designer on the Design Systems team, you will contribute to the creation and evolution of our robust design system.
You'll design foundational patterns, UI components, documentation, tools, and processes that enable product designers and engineers create consistent, accessible, and high quality user experiences across our product offerings.
Once here you will.

  • Working closely with the UX lead, help execute the product vision by being involved in every step of the end-to-end product design process.
  • Drive efficiency of designers through tooling structure and organization.
  • Explore and discover design tools to incorporate into greater design.
  • Partner with Design Centers of Excellence Design Technology, Accessibility & Content Strategy.
  • Drive exploration work for strategic vision.
  • Understand the underlying needs and motivation of our clients to ensure we achieve business goals and provide value to our clients.
  • Craft intuitive and elegant experiences that empower our clients to make confident financial decisions.
  • Work closely with our research team to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data and make value-driven design decisions that translate into clear, simple UIs.
  • Create and present a variety of design deliverables (sketches, wireframes, user flows and prototypes) in a way that engenders confidence in you and your solutions with the team and the greater organization.
  • Form holistic solutions that integrate seamlessly into our wealth management product ecosystem.
  • Design and deliver responsive/adaptive solutions that are optimized for web and mobile interfaces and partner with engineers to translate designs into successful products.
  • Work closely with the larger Wealth Management UX team to share design best practices, align on patterns, and promote a design-centric culture at the firm.
  • Advocate for all user abilities by thoroughly testing design deliverables to meet WCAG ADA compliance.

Relevant experience and mindset.
  • Explain and show how patterns can be used across an enterprise.
  • Understand UI best practices, standards, and nomenclature and how they contrast and overlap.
  • You've spent 3+ years as a UX/UI designer who was a key contributor to the success of products that have launched.
  • You have an outstanding portfolio that demonstrates how you have created experiences that solved business and user needs.
  • You have a bachelor's degree in design or related field preferably, master's degree is a plus.
  • You have excellent skills in Figma, Sketch, Adobe CC and InVision.
  • You thrive in a collaborative, explorative environment and value being on a diverse team that you can bounce ideas off of, get critical feedback from, and unite with to mature design thinking within a large organization.
  • You practice active listening and contribute in group situations (i.e. brainstorms, audits, critiques, whiteboard sessions, etc.)
  • You get excited by complex projects with high levels of ambiguity and are resilient in the face of obstacles.
  • You have a relentless desire to validate assumptions and uncover a problem's root cause by testing, learning, and iterating.
  • You have a knack for balancing user goals, technology needs and business objectives and can clearly explain the rationale for your designs and how they achieve both.
  • You constantly seek opportunities to evangelize and promote design thinking in a large organization.
