DescriptionPrimary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:
Read prescriptions and specifications received from dentist.
Set teeth for dentures, partials, flexible, bite splints and all other removable prosthetics
Ensure model is articulated correctly prior to beginning case
Pick correct shade and mold for case according to doctor specifications
All other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities Required:
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
Check accuracy of articulation and model work
Minimum Education and Experience Required:
Required: High school diploma or GED equivalent
Must have 5 years of experience as a Dental Laboratory Technician and is skilled in one or more of the tasks associated with a Dental Laboratory Technician.
Hazardous Materials or Equipment Used:
Sharp Tools
Electronic Hand Piece
Bench Lathe
Acrylic monomer/polymer
Hot Wax
Physical Requirements:
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and/or reach.
Exhibit fine motor skills and/or perform repetitive motions.
Read and interpret prescriptions and other required documentation.
Ability to effectively communicate technical information.
Vision capabilities: depth perception, attention to detail, and/or color.
