Summary:
This position will be dealing with raw poultry products. A Process Operator is responsible for 5 steps: Set up of processing equipment, start-up of equipment, production of product, break down of equipment and cleaning. This position is very repetitious and requires PPE to be worn and the environment to remain clean and sanitized.
Tasks
Measure ingredients and place in tanks
Handle chemicals and cleaning equipment/CIP (Cleaning In Place)
Clean equipment and work areas per Sanitation SOPs as needed.
Ability to set-up machines which includes confirming sanitation is complete.
Obtaining Quality approval to run.
Operate equipment per SOP and Work Instructions
Start Up and Shut Down of equipment
Minor trouble shooting of equipment
Ability to understand parameters for different recipes used in processing
Other duties as assigned.
Operate in accordance with safety, quality and environmental standards.
Physical Working Conditions:
Fast paced, repetitive environment
Occasionally lifting 50 pounds without assistance and more than 50 pounds with assistance
Operating multiple machines at one time.
Loud environment.
Extreme hot/cold environments
Walking up and down stairs and on platforms
Working at elevated levels/heights
Continuous standing and walking.
Qualifications
Production experience is a plus food production experience is preferred.
HS Diploma
6 months 1 year of Production experience.
Must be trainable
Sanitation experience a plus
Good environmental cleaning is a MUST
FOOD Mentality.
Respect of the safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Fork lift (stand up) experience
