We have full-time and part-time weekend positions available.
1. Must have completed State of Georgia 24-hour basic security officer course or complete it within 6 months of hire date. If the site requires driver and AHA CPR/First Aid/AED training, they must be completed within 4 months of the date of hire.
2. Expectations include one or more of the following essential job functions with or without a reasonable accommodations:
- Walk up and down stairs carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Competently use technology; these include, a computer, smart phone and/or a tablet; including: Guard tour system, Camera monitoring system, E-mail program - being able to compose and read e-mails.
- Must maintain a professional demeanor at all times to include meeting and greeting visitors entering or departing the client facilities. Present a great first impression by looking alert, pleasant, and helpful.
- Communicate professionally.
3. Candidates are required to:
- have two (2) years of experience in security or law enforcement.
- possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- have a driver's license and acceptable driving history.
- ability to interact confidently, cordially and communicate with the public.
- be at least 21 years old.
- have access to reliable transportation. (self-owned preferred, but not required) Officers must have the capability to respond to a short or "no notice" call-to-duty.
- be able to work any shift, 24 hours per day, seven days per week.
- participate in training sessions and meetings when scheduled.
- have a mobile phone.
- have an e-mail address and use it regularly.
- operate a computer or a tablet competently (windows-based applications); including client-required software, human resources and time-entry software/web-sites, e-mail, and time-entry phone systems.
- be able to effectively read, write and speak English.
- not use illegal drugs. Must be able to pass a drug screening test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment).
- submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable.
