Hiring for a Home Health Aide/ sitter for young adult with mild cerebral palsy. The patient is self sufficient but can not be left alone due to being a fall risk. The position would entail driving to Snelleville (gas paid) to pick up patient at 2:00pm from a day program and return him to home in Decatur where you would stay with him until 6:00pm. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and then come all day on Saturday from 10:00am-5:00pm for a total of 21 hours a week. A small amount of cleaning, meal preparation and entertainment such a playing board games or engagement in conversation would be expected. The hours are somewhat flexible if you can only work the weekday hours OR the Saturday hours, we would consider you. The position is more for companionship but requires a background or interest in education, child care, home healthcare, and/or special education. Starting hourly rate is $14/hr. with a raise to $15/hr. in three months if work is satisfactory. Please send a resume and 3 references and you will be considered.
