    The Lead Medicare Market Actuary will support the Chief Actuary and lead a team of Actuaries and Analysts in managing all actuarial responsibilities related to premium rate development for the Medicare product portfolio including CMS Bid submissions, desk review and audits, product development support and strategy, evaluation of new markets, underwriting and rating methods for experience rated employer groups.The Actuary will work collaboratively with the external Actuarial consulting team responsible for certifying the Bid submission, managing data and information exchange. The Actuary will be relied upon as a critical thought leader and innovator to build and maintain the pricing tools, models and processes necessary to reduce the Actuarial budget required for Medicare Rate Setting support.

    Additional responsibilities include financial forecast modeling to support the corporate budgeting process and determination of required premium deficiency reserves, Part D monthly accrual determinations, annual DIR reporting support, historical performance reporting, experience studies to support actuarial assumptions/methods and strategic decision making and other actuarial support needed for financial statements, statutory reporting and Federal MLR filings.

    The Actuary must work collaboratively across the organization in all these efforts.

    POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

    Minimum Education:

    Bachelor's Degree in Business, Math or related field.

    Credentialed ASA or FSA.

    Minimum Experience:
    Minimum 5 years experience in relevant healthcare actuarial role
    Previous supervisor role for at least 2 years
