Requisition[[id]]:[[title]]Job DescriptionPrimary Purpose:Provides complex secretarial and administrative support for the assigned Senior Vice President Operations and MechanicalPrincipal Duties:

Relieves SVP of administrative detail through the oversight of administrative procedures and processes for assigned department. Uses independent judgment, in determining matters of urgency and appropriate course of action, and in proper and timely handling of incoming & outgoing correspondence.

Assembles and analyzes fairly complex information or data and describes results in written reports.

Prepares, analyzes, and administers budget and monitors all expenditures for the Region Transportation GMs and Mechanical Directors.

Assists in administration of department policies and procedures. Implements and interprets personnel policy with respect to salary administration, merit increase budget, and coordinates employment processing procedures with Human Resources Department. Requires detailed knowledge of organization operations, organizational procedures, and personnel.

Oversees and provides direction for the administrative functions of the Regional Offices by meeting regularly with the ROMs to identify efficiencies, reduce costs, and maintain the level of support required by the Regional GMs.

Works with the Senior Directors, DMMOs, and Shop Managers to review and make administrative changes to improve efficiencies and reduce costs

Coordinates processing of personnel actions, including confidential information, consistent with organizational policy and procedures.

Maintains accurate personnel and salary administration records of a confidential nature for the executive.

Acts as an administrative liaison with internal and/or external sources. Interacts with all levels of executive management, support staff, clients, and others, with strictest confidence, professionalism, and respect.

Authority to approve expenditures such as personal travel expenses, purchase orders, requests for payment, and other items on behalf of the executive.
