Identifies opportunities for business expansion in support of the customer sales strategy. Develops and maintains the business relationship by providing solutions for defined account(s) in a product line, to achieve the identified strategy and business financial objectives. This BDE position will be responsible for the Veritas vendor line and focused in Tech Data's Eastern region.Principal Responsibilities:Subject matter expert (SME) on assigned Vendor's brand, technology solutions, program offerings, etc. for their assigned customers.Responsible for the execution of the strategic customer growth plans and business relationships in assigned account(s) by providing value added solutions for their Vendor.Delivers sales results for Tech Data by both organically growing business within their assigned focus customers and in successfully entry level sales proposalsIdentifies and creates opportunity demand for products, coordinating the supporting seminars, training and resource awareness to assigned customers that drives growth plan success in the targeted accountsPerforms analysis and reports results of various program impact for identified customer(s) notifying the AM of success, issues and future growth plan strategiesMaintains and drives trending knowledge of products, competitors, technology and customers in the assigned supplier product marketIdentifies and maintains field Vendor relationshipsQualifications, Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities:Full knowledge of assigned Vendor's product / service line. Gains understanding of Tech Data's strategic sales pillars and associated value offerings so they begin to be sold into the territory.Works on small to mid-size accounts of moderate complexity. The Vendor Field BDE II territory is moderate in financial nature as to company impact / benefit (annual revenue, gross profit and/or complexity dynamics).Works with a higher level of supervision based on entry level Tech Data field sales training and support needed. Performs and begins to perfects sales objectives and procedures with field leadership guidance and support.Builds relationships directly with customers to broaden customer base and increase sales.Builds relationships directly with their assigned Vendor; especially at the regional field sales to field sales level.Actions impact the success of the entire work group. Failure to accomplish goals or meet customer expectations will result in failure of work group to meet goals.Experience:6-8 years experience in sales.Field Sales experience is necessary for success in this position.
