Cloud Architect (2 Positions)
Type Full Time ( TN)
Location Atlanta, GA (Remote with limited travel after Covid is lifted
The Cloud Architect will serve as a cloud subject matter expert and providing technical support and architectural guidance to the applications teams.
Responsibilities:
Oversee cloud infrastructure design and develop detail architecture models for the applications
Develop and document technical designs for integration and implementation of new cloud application systems
Optimize cost of cloud solutions through cost management
Participate in designing cloud solutions to meet the technical, security, and business needs of our customers
Translate business challenges into cloud solution designs.?
Execute on implementation plans to deploy and/or migrate workloads into the cloud.
Ensure solutions meet security and compliance standards
Generate automation scripts for the deployments
Execute on?continual evaluation of external technologies to find opportunities to gain or introduce a competitive advantage into our processes.?
Attend and assist in technical design workshops
Effectively manages day to day activities across multiple projects
Respond to technical issues in a timely manner
Define and maintain operational procedure standards

Qualifications:
Bachelor of science degree in computer science or relevant field
Minimum of?5 years of experience in cloud technologies (Azure/AWSP)
Minimum of 10 years of enterprise infrastructure solutions, including enterprise directories, on-premises hosting platforms (vSphere/Hyper-V), and datacenter storage and networking
Experience with one or more Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, etc.)
Must have solid experience in architecting and delivering core Microsoft Azure projects at the enterprise level
Hands-on experience with scaling technologies and solutions.?
Experience in performing migrations to Cloud, preferred Azure.?
Knowledge of cloud system engineering principles and considerations.?
Experience in cloud architectures, including web, application, and database components.
Experience with Azure Resource Manager, Resource Groups, Virtual Networks, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Blob Storage, PowerShell DSC, Azure Automation, Azure Active Directory, and Azure Site Recovery.?
Experience with Governance and Best Practices (Role Based Access Control, Networking Architectures, Cost Management controls, etc.).?
Experience scripting with PowerShell or bash.?
Experience defining and negotiating infrastructure solution options while considering risks, costs, impacts, and business objectives.?
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, teamwork, and ability to mentor others.?
Azure Solution Architect certification, preferred.
