Overview
As a Cloud Architect at BRG, you will serve as the cloud subject matter expert and trusted advisor providing technical support and architectural guidance to customers and internal teams. This role requires hands-on technical design and implementation in support of cloud programs. The Cloud Architect will also continually assess emerging products and services that improve the business of the clients we serve which in many cases utilize a number of different platforms and tools. As a domain expert with deep industry knowledge and business acumen you will also support business development by providing technical solutions for evaluation that could increase efficiency in today’s environment. This role is an exciting opportunity to work with a mid-sized advisory firm on a global scale with experts across a number of markets (e.g. healthcare, transaction advisory, finance, energy, etc). This role will work closely with those experts and collaborate with the broader Information Technology Team to understand functional requirements and design solutions that fulfill identified needs. In addition to all this, you will also be responsible for the following.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with BRG Experts and their designated leadership to build technical solutions.
  • Work with internal IT and technical partners to analyze needs and develop potential solutions, including market research for new products or tools.
  • Work with BRG Experts to review and understand solutions to their technical needs and help create a course of action.
  • Assist in the development and coordination of solution delivery, and ongoing support of applications.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of the technical needs and operations of each Expert group, as well as documentation of technical solutions that have been deployed.
  • Assist with cost allocation for each group and solute.

Basic Qualifications:
  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field;
  • Minimum six to ten (6-10) years of experience supporting Azure cloud environment;
  • Microsoft certifications: Azure AI Fundamentals, Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Developer Associate.
  • Experience with other services other than Azure such as Oracle and AWS;
  • Deployment scripting and automation experience with SharePoint Online, Azure, and AWS;
  • Familiarity with application programing languages Python, C#, JavaScript, PHP, and T-SQL. Not looking for programmer;
  • Experience building ETL processes and integrating with MS SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Oracle;
  • Experience managing and communicating requirements for software systems;
  • Experience deploying, managing, administering, and migrating complex software platforms in a Hybrid environment;
  • Strong understanding of desktops, networks, hardware, and cloud platforms;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to present detailed or complicated information in an understandable way to non-technologists;
  • Ability to see beyond constraints of the existing environments and identity opportunities for improvement;
  • Proven ability to adapt to changing technologies, new applications, and dynamic environments;
  • Experience work with senior level management in a professional services environment; and
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and re-prioritize as necessary to align with business demand and need.

Additional Qualifications:
  • MS in Science or Engineering or a related field is preferred;
  • Experience of analytical tools sets to include SAS but not limited to, R, Stata, Nuix, Relativity, Mathematica, and Reveal;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows based platforms (Windows Server, Active Directory); and/or
  • Development of reporting tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik, and SQL Reporting Services.
