Title: Django/Python Web Application Developer
Location: Hybrid - Rich Computer Center 258 4th St NW, Atlanta, GA 30332
Duration: 12 Months
Description:
Responsible for advanced level development, testing, implementation and maintenance of all facets of web-based application systems for a campus unit. May serve as project lead on applications impacting multiple units and provide work direction to Web Developers. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: management and staff within assigned units and personnel in Office of Information Technology. This position will typically advise and counsel: management and staff within assigned units and staff Office of Information Technology.

Job Duties:
- Conduct web-based applications development and implementation consistent with unit needs.
- Maintain assigned applications, providing issue resolution in a timely manner.
- Maintain all required documentation related to unit web applications.
- Provide direction and leadership for web-related project assignments.
- Prepare project schedules and budgets.
Skills:
This job requires advanced knowledge and skills in configuration and deployment of web applications including database design, web based scripting languages and web standards. Additionally, skills in project management, work leadership, presentation, customer service and problem solving are required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Six to eight years of job related experience.
- The ability to problem-solve and critically think.
- High level of knowledge of Python and the Django framework.
- Good understanding of SQL databases.
- Good understanding of REST APIs.
