You will be the Global Product Sustenance & Productivity – Engineering leader representative to the HBT Businesses and ISC organization. You will lead the dedicated global Product Sustenance & Productivity Engineering practice while closely working with cross-functional teams like VE & CE Engineering teams, ISC (Integrated Supply Chain)/AME (Advanced Manufacturing Engineering), Product Design Engineering, Product & Marketing team etc.

This is individual contributor role who will collaborate with ISC/AME organization and visit different HBT factories to explore savings opportunities through Engineering. These savings opportunities are like Roll Through Yield (RTY) improvement to reduce scrap reduction, Product Assembly improvement for Automation, Manufacturing Labor savings improvement, Design-For-Manufacturing (DFM) improvement etc. apart from supporting factories for sustain the production aspects.

You will be accountable in delivering/exceeding AOP (Annual Operating Plan) Savings target in range of $5-$10M per annum across HBT businesses across globally (America, EMEA and APAC region).

You will also provide product sustenance support from Engineering perspective to HBT factories to sustain the production and avoid line down situation wherever parts are missing or not available immediately

You will lead, develop and motivate your matrix reporting team located at different HBT factories/local and global regions responsible for the delivering the Savings target. You will use your leadership abilities to motivate and energize teams to continuously deliver.

Responsibilities include:

Accountable in delivering/exceeding AOP (Annual Operating Plan) Savings target in range of $5-$10M per annum across HBT businesses across globally (America, EMEA and APAC region)

Accountable for generating savings Ideation pipeline of 3X of AOP target for through Agile Ideation and BAEs (Business Aligned Events)/Workshops

Accountable for evaluating the savings ideas on fast track mode while closely working with Experts and team members

Accountable for driving Projects to meet AOP savings target globally

Support the Value Engineering, Component Engineering, Component Management and Obsolescence Engineering activities for HBT business to offer overall Product Life Cycle Management aspects

Periodic reports of Productivity results

Talent management - Development of required skills and provide performance management inputs to respective leaders and their team members

Coach/Mentor teams and facilitate robust Agile execution

Partner with HTS and 3rdparty resources

Strategy development

Key project reviews, escalation, resolution and proactive risk mitigation

Have a proven savings track records of at least $10M-15M range

You Must Have:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics/Electronics & Communication Engineering

Minimum 8 years of experience and expertise in Hardware Design, Value Engineering, Design-For-Manufacturability and Assembly where candidate had created significant savings while closely working with Integrated Supply Chain team in different factories environment

We Value:

Master’s Degree in Electronics / Electronics & Communication Engineering

HBT Business products hardware design/value engineering experience would be added advantage

Have good experience in executing HW Design/VE projects from Ideation to realization phase

Demonstrated leadership experience in collaborating and working closely with cross-functional teams seamlessly

Proven track of leading teams without authority to successful project delivery

Track record of improving team performance and work practice through team coaching

Competence to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience

Proven track record of successful cross functional experiences

Solid knowledge of specific product and process technologies or broad knowledge of multiple product and process technologies

Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done
