DescriptionIf you are an outstanding Financial Analyst, you might be right for the position Robert Half Finance is filling for a fast-growing company. This Financial Analyst position includes tasks like measuring, analyzing, and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans and conducting financial modeling on a variety of financial products. Additional duties include advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and preparing reports for management. You will be a part of a dynamic team being a key business partner in areas such as forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management. In this Financial Analyst position, your duties will aim to support world class strategic and financial planning methods, build long-range operating plans to support business imperatives and develop rolling forecast processes to ensure resources every quarter are consumed at maximum effectiveness. Along with your main responsibilities, you will assist with operationalizing and cultivating a more data-driven planning process and improved monthly and quarterly reporting. In this role, you will be directly involved in the coordination of various planning cycles (annual planning, quarterly forecasts and monthly outlooks), while providing strategic analyses and recommendations. You will provide variance analysis of bookings, revenues and expenses, clearly explaining the business reasons for variances and adjusting the outlook models to reflect operational adjustments. Track of monthly and quarterly performance by comparing actuals versus expectations to ensure business partners handle their resources r
Work closely with cross functional partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans
Collaborate with senior executives on strategic deep dives on creating financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, event tracking and execution, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, and strategic resource allocation, and prioritization
Enable effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support
Explain and understand internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending
Flexible individuals comfortable with large amounts of information, and adept at managing expectations
Drive monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required
Support Area/Segment-level Bookings on a weekly, quarterly and annual basis, as well as P&L forecasting
Present and monitor forecasting reports
Analyze performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities
Work on monthly and quarterly financial close processes in collaboration with the Accounting team
Requirements
Comprehensive knowledge of Essbase
Firm understanding of problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable
Experience with financial data management processes & systems
BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company
Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience recommended)
