The
Circuit Lead Network Systems Engineer is a skilled position that includes first-line supervisory work related to information technology systems within the Eleventh Circuit. The incumbent is responsible for the continued operation, performance, and security of the court IT infrastructure that consists of Microsoft Active Directory, Windows servers, SUSE Linux servers, VMWare virtualization, Cisco based LAN management, and the court-wide area network (WAN). The position is responsible for supervising systems network staff and for overseeing the effectiveness and operation of all network equipment within the Court of Appeals and Circuit. The Circuit Lead Network Systems Engineer ensures compliance with the appropriate guidelines, policies, and internal controls. The incumbent troubleshoots and resolves operational and network-related information technology problems and maintains an effective cyclical maintenance program for all office information technology equipment. The Circuit Lead Network Systems Engineer is responsible for the planning, procurement and installation/upgrade of all national systems and applications. Travel may be required.
