As a Program Manager / Release Train Engineer (RTE) at Delta Air Lines, you will work closely with delivery teams, release management, business partners, and other parts of the organization including senior level leadership to ensure effective software delivery based upon agile values & principles. The success of this role is to be a motivating servant leader to the team. This person introduces, educates & mentors the team on agile best practices and ways of working at each level, which includes influencing the leadership towards agility, get the support, while stabilizing the teams and structuring the backlog. Leveraging tools like VersionOne to create effective and meaningful flow based metrics for senior leadership, showcasing growth and continuous improvement. He/she is deeply engaged with technical and Business side to keep them involved and educate both side on Business value and technical value, aim to achieve sweet spot.

They are also someone who is a technology enthusiast, natural problem solver, go getter and leads by example and knows how to bring out the best in people.

Responsibilities:

• A leader with strong understanding of Agile and can execute Agile processes and manage it.
• Work closely with QA, Product, DevOps, Delivery, Architecture and Engineering to directly impact the customer's ability to meet PI goals.
• Be the master organizer of the Agile Teams' workload for each Program Increment (PI) and will define the agenda for and orchestrate the activities during each PI planning session .
• Assign, coordinate, and review work and activities of programming personnel.
• Reporting status updates and metrics to senior leadership on the performance and efficiency of the ART.
• Facilitate risk management.
• Work to define working agreements.
• Support the Product manager when necessary.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Interface with individuals at all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing.
• Well-organized with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Work well under pressure to meet deadline requirements. Willing to travel as needed.

• Delivery of program aligning the Agile Framework.
• Introduce agile best practices and ways of working at each level.
• Stabilize the team, structure and backlog.
• Remove impediments for Scrum Masters.
• Mentor the Scrum Masters in evolving and understanding their role.
• Manage dependencies on cross functional product deliveries.
• Educate and empower Scrum Masters, Product Owners & Tech Teams on Agile best practices and how to introduce them.
• Monitor anti-patterns and work with the leadership to address them.
• Leverage Agile Lifecycle Management tool to increase Agile Release Train efficiencies.
• Effective and efficient time management vs task loading.
• Refine the way of using VersionOne to provide flow based metric to leadership.
• Work with Technical and Business teams to engage and educate both sides on the concept of Business Value and Technical Value, aim to achieve sweet spot.
• Leverage Service Virtualization.

• Bachelor's degree and/or 8 to 10+ years of experience
• Prior airline experience is a plus
• Inject functional and true DevOps experience
• CI/CD pipeline function experience
